"La legge del caso"
Directed by Andrea Barzini
January 15 (Thursday) and 16 (Friday), 2004

Today the cast and crew are filming in a beautiful setting: The Abbey of Vallingegno, where Saint Francis the Abbot stayed.

The cast and crew prepare to film. Andrea Barzini is in the hat.

Right now it's sunny, but the temperature is very low and an icy wind cuts right into our bones. Under a tent we discover Pedron, the Best Boy, who is moonlighting as a BBQ chef.

The first scene they film is the arrival of Don Matteo on his bicycle at "Casa Domani", a beautiful country house, run as a center for dyslexic children.

Many scenes are filmed inside the house. But because of the lack of space, we remain outside and let the cast and crew work in peace.

Outside they prepare the scene for a protest demonstration.

While waiting to film, the extras warm up around the grill.

As extras, there are also many children, who warm up in other ways.

Don Matteo helps Linda, a young girl from Casa Domani, carry blankets.

The demonstration begins, and Don Matteo takes part. Next to him is his Verger, Pippo.

But perhaps there may be a problem, as Captain Anceschi has arrived.

And on the scene arrive a group of Carabinieri and...

...Looking closely among the crowd, together with the Captain are also the Mayor, Laura Respighi, and the architect, Pierpaolo Cattel, head of the project that is to transform Casa Domani into a multi-use building. They want to make it a sports center, a cinema, a library, a pub,...that's why there's the protest demonstration!

The architect, together with the Captain, tries to find a compromise, but the group from Casa Domani do not leave, and repeat their chant: Hands off Casa Domani!

Even the ex-wife of the architect is protesting, together with their dyslexic child, who was helped at this center.

Captain Anceschi tries to keep the peace, and Don Matteo, who up to now was just listening, goes to talk with him.

With Don Matteo's help, will they be able to save Casa Domani?

In case you did not already recognize him, the architect Pierpaolo Cattel, is Roberto Ciufoli, from Premiata Ditta.

And here is his entire family: the ex-wife Oriana Lentini, played by Fiorenza Tessari, and the son Bruno, played by Gennaro Migliaccio.

We say good-bye to Terence, but before leaving...

...here is the cloister done up for a party. It seems that at Casa Domani there will be something to celebrate!
