Giulia, a famous opera singer, is poisoned during a dinner in her
honor held at Don Matteo's parish house. Suspicions fall at first on her young assistant, tired
of suffering the woman's caprices, and on the husband, who had cheated on her. The whole thing
becomes even more complicated when the singer claims she poisoned herself. The solution to the
