Anna Anna, a young Albanian woman, is suspected of robbery. Her employees accuse her of having robbed a large sum of money and silverware. Don Matteo finds out that Anna is being blackmailed by some Albanians that want her back on the street and that she never had the courage to tell her boyfriend the truth about her past. Anna can avoid going to jail and being sent back to Albania only if she tells the truth, revealing her alibi: at the time of the robbery she was somewhere else with a former client.
