	Dario, a thirteen-year-old boy, is accidentally a witness to a man's murder. Before dying, the victim reveals to the boy an important secret. The young witness is in serious danger so the Carabinieri allow Don Matteo to keep him secretly at the parish house. Meanwhile, the investigating magistrate in charge of the case is ready to resort to extreme measure to force the young witness to tell all he knows.
