The first serie directed by Enrico Oldoini, broadcasted from Raiuno in January 2000, has averaged 8 millions 300 thousand audience, with the 30,84 % of share, the top of the audience among the long fictions. A new serie was actually inevitable, considering the success of the first one. And the third one is ready. The shot of the second serie has started on February the 19th and ended on September the 15th 2001. Sixteen episodes have been recorded, eight directed by Leone Pompucci and the other ones by Andrea Barzini, both of cinematographic origin. The cast has been confirmed thanks to his great success: the warrant-officer Cecchini-Nino Frassica, the ironic but protective bishop Gastone Moschin, the captain of the Carabinieri Anceschi-Flavio Insinna, the priest's housekeeper Nathalie Guetta, and then Evelina Gori, Francesco Scali, Claudio Ricci, Pietro Pulcini, Paolo Trubbianelli, Caterina Sylos Labini and many others.
