He first appeared on television in Renzo Arbore's variety show "Quelli della notte", and then in "Indietro tutta" in 1987. He also participated in "Fantastico", "Domenica In", "Scommettiamo che?", "Ritiro il premio", "I cervelloni", "Acqua calda". After his huge personal success in "Quelli della notte", in 1986 he wrote the book "Sani Gesualdi", a bestseller for weeks. He then went on to write "Il terzesimo libro di Sani Gesualdi", "Il manovale del bravo presentatore" and "Come diventare maghi in 15 minuti". He worked in "Vacanze di Natale", "Anni 90" and "Anni 90 II", and also in "Miracolo Italiano", all directed by Enrico Oldoini.
He was in "Il Bi e il Ba" by Maurizio Nichetti and in "Mortacci" by Sergio Citti, as well as in Carlo Vanzina's "Sognando la California". In 1987 he worked on stage in "L'aria del continente" directed by Antonio Calenda, and won the Biglietto d'oro Award. In 1996 he partecipated in Taormina Arte with the show "Le 23.20" by Anne R. Ciccone and directed by C. Quartucci. In 1997 he was one of the leading actors in the TV series "SPQR" directed by Claudio Risi.
