The consensus about the return Gubbio: "It's a good thing for the image of Gubbio". The series is always pleasant but can be a bit repetitive. We'll wait to see what the new episodes are like.

NIt's not enough to know the viewer ratings of a TV show to know if the public liked it. Now you have to know how much the audience of a specific variety show, film, series, or talk show like it. This is the word in TV, at least, after years of studying only the ratings and the share of viewers. Those who watch a show have to say how much they liked it. That's why we asked the Eugubini how much they liked "Don Matteo" and how they liked having the film crew in their town. We'd like to state upfront that this is not a scientific survey but only a small sampling that gives a peek at the views of our fellow citizens concerning the return of the Rai TV series to Gubbio.
Franca, 35 years old: "I liked the past episodes because I recognized places and people I know. And the characters were friendly and good. I'm glad the series will continue.".
Giuseppina, 49 years old: "The TV series, some of the episodes seemed a bit dull, but for our town it's a good thing in the publicity that we get from it.".
Cristiana, 33 years old: : "Actually, the episodes seemed repetitive to me. I'm hoping they'll be more original in the new series. They're being here in Gubbio is a good thing for the town and for the Eugubini.".
Piero, 53 years old: "I watch everything on TV, so I like it. For Gubbio it's a good thing, and they don't bother anyone. They're pretty low-key. I'm only sorry that this time they won't stay as long.".
I like Natalina and I'm glad she's back. Federico, 27 years old: "Usually I can't stand shows done is episodes, but Don Matteo finishes the story each time, and then I have fun recognizing the extras from Gubbio. For the town, especially for those who work in the Tourist industry, it's brought a lot of people in, and San Giovanni has become Don Matteo's church.".
Vera, 52 years old: "I liked the show. I'm happy that it's made our town famous in all of Italy. In Lucca, during the match against Castelnuovo, some of the people were talking about how beautiful Gubbio was, just from having seen it in Don Matteo.".
Giovanni, 45 years old: "I didn't see all of the episodes in the series, but those that I saw, I liked. I'm not in the Tourist business so I don't get any publicity benefit from it, but around town everyone talks about it a lot.".
Clara, 68 years old: "The show's nice. The new series? As long as they don't make things difficult for the inhabitants of the historic center, because we already have enough of that of every type.".
Paolo, 39 years old: "I'd rather not talk about the series episodes, but rather about their presence in Gubbio. I've never seen it as a positive thing except for those few who've profited from it like the restaurant owners, the hostelries and the shop keepers.".
Luigi, 9 years old: "I don't like Don Matteo. I like Terence Hill and Bud Spencer better.".
Sonia, 10 years old: "I like Natalina. I ran into her a lot with her dog before, and I'm glad she's back.".
Alessandro, 16 years old: "I saw all the episodes of the previous series. Great! I'm only sorry I've never been able to be an extra because of school. Now that they're filming during the summer, let's hope they use me.".
