A young investigative journalist, a candidate in the race for mayor of Gubbio, is killed
during the election campaign, possibly because of his environmental protection platform. But soon, details of a shocking
investigation, conducted by the young man, start to emerge. In the meantime, his replacement arrives from abroad,
Laura Respighi, an intelligent and up-and-coming Eugubina, who will not only win the election, but will also win the
heart of Captain Anceschi.
